In order for the application to function you need to go through the setup process which is over before you realize. There's also the chance to run it right after the setup window closes. On launch, a pretty compact window shows up on screen, and a new icon is added to the tray area to minimize the alarm when not needed.

For a lightweight, straightforward application, quite the effort was invested in the visual design. All features are stored in a borderless window, with a custom layout, and LCD like display of system time. A couple of drop-down menus are at your disposal to adjust alarm time, and options to close and minimize the window.

Unfortunately, you can only set up one alarm, but you can run the application in more than one instance to overcome this limitation. In case you just want to use it on the spot, a nifty trick is to assign a hotkey command to the application's shortcut inside the default Properties panel to launch it from any location.

The two drop-down menus at your disposal are used to set the exact time in hour and minute when to trigger the alarm. A built-in sound can be used, with no option to change it. You can choose to have the computer shut down when the time comes. You can even place a shortcut in the system Startup folder to have it ready when reaching the desktop.

All things considered, we can state that My Windows Alarm is a pretty straightforward alarm clock, which mostly comes in handy for having the computer turned off at a specified time. It's packed with a shallow set of features, but you can run multiple alarms at a time, and rest assured that the PC turns off at the end of the day no matter what.
