Power

Power is a simple and very easy to work with piece of software which aims to offer you quick access to the Windows power options, enabling you to reboot, sign out or shutdown your computer in just a couple of mouse clicks.

Appearance-wise, the program is made up of a slightly transparent, medium-sized window, which cannot be adjusted in terms of opacity, dimensions or even position on the screen.

A dedicated button in the lower right corner allows you to view all of the available power options. Pressing on ‘Instant’ in its main window will disguise the tool as a button that you can place anywhere on your screen.

The main idea behind this application is to offer you the possibility of using all of the power functions of your computer, without having to go to extra lengths for it. It is meant to counteract the lack of instant access to them from the operating system itself.

With Power, you can just shutdown, reboot, log off, sleep or hibernate your computer with a button press and no fuss. It occurs almost instantly, so you have no possibility of canceling or delaying the task.

In order to make it less obtrusive, you can press the ‘Instant’ button and hide the software behind a small icon, which you can drag anywhere on your desktop. To reopen it, you need only right double click it.

However, it should be noted that not all systems can be sent into hibernate or sleep mode, only the ones that have these features enabled.
