The market is already full of apps supposed to help you schedule a shutdown, but in case you're looking for a simple way to do that, meet Timed Shutdown.
Just like its name suggests, this tiny tool is meant to schedule a shutdown with a just a few clicks, but you may be shocked by how simple it really is.
The interface is just minimal and includes some predefined times to schedule a shutdown, such as right now, in 15 or 30 minutes, in 1 or 2 hours. Of course, you can also specify your time, press the Enter button and you're all set.
Unfortunately, the whole app has been developed to be extremely easy to use, so it lacks many of the features a user would need when working with this kind of tool.
You can only schedule a shutdown, so there's no option to create a timed reboot, standby, hibernate or logoff.
Plus, there's no help menu, no settings and no other buttons within the main window, so you have to either press the Enter button or double click a desired option to schedule a shutdown.
Plus, once you set a timed shutdown, you have no option to cancel it, unless you want to quit the app altogether. Right clicking on the System Tray icon gives only the possibility to exit the program.
The good thing is that it works very smooth on all Windows flavors out there, but it definitely needs a lot of improvement before you can even consider using it.
To sum up, Timed Shutdown could be a decent solution only if you want a simple, very simple application to do just that: schedule shutdowns. Otherwise, it doesn't even deserve a shot.
