Double Click

Double Click is a lightweight yet effective software solution that was designed to enable computer users to change the middle mouse button's default action to double-click whenever it's pressed.

The application is portable, meaning that you don't need to install it on the target computer. Simply unpack the archive it comes in and launch the executable in order to make use of its capabilities. More so, it can also be used from removable storage units such as external HDDs or SSDs and USB flash drives. It won't tamper with your Windows registry entries.

All you have to do in order to benefit from this application's capabilities is launching the executable after extracting it from the archive onto your computer. The program automatically changes the action triggered by pressing the middle mouse button to the action of double-clicking the left mouse button, so that the left mouse button doesn't wear off just as fast and your joints don't suffer from repeatedly clicking it.

The application doesn't have a proper GUI (Graphical User Interface), so you can't really close it after you're done using it. However, launching the Task Manager and killing the app from there proved to be effective.
