Labrys

Labrys is an easy to understand piece of software that was developed to work as a Start menu replacement, allowing you to quickly access and run your favorite programs or system tools.

Subsequent to the installation process, you can launch the utility and open its main interface by clicking on the Start button.

The interface of Labrys is made up of two main panels, listing your recently used software, Administrative Tools and Windows Accessories in the left-side section, while on the right, you can view commonly accessed ‘Places’ or adjust its functioning parameters from the 'Settings' area.

The application resorts to displaying the entries alphabetically, so you can find what you need more quickly, rather than waste time browsing through all of them, to find the tool you need. A dedicated button enables you to ‘Toggle Start / Run Mode’.

At the top of the window, a text field acts as a ‘Search / Command’ function, so you can easily locate your utilities and run them, or ‘Execute’ the entered arguments in Command Prompt, ShellExecute, PowerShell or Microsoft Management Console.

Moreover, Labrys allows you to add or remove command executors from the ‘Settings’ section, as well as manage the shortcut filters to suit your requirements, adding new ones or deleting those you have no use for.

The power button in the main interface of Labrys enables you to lock or log off your account, turn off the display or restart computer, as well as hibernate or shut it down with a single click.
