CD Key Seizer is a lightweight and portable piece of software which automatically finds out and displays the serial number of Windows and Microsoft Office, provided that you have the original products installed.
Since this is a portable application, CD Key Seizer does not come with an installation package. It means that you can store the app on a removable device (like a USB flash drive) and run its executable file.
What's more important is that Windows Registry is not updated with new entries, and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after removing the program. This type of tool is quite useful the moment you lose the CD cases to the aforementioned products, where their keys are written.
The interface of the tool is not the standard, rectangular-shaped one. Instead, the frame is actually an octagon. Upon initialization, the Windows and Microsoft Office serial numbers are automatically displayed in the list.
Unfortunately, CD Key Seizer packs minimal features - all you can do is press two buttons to refresh the list and to exit. The app does not even allow you to copy text to the Clipboard or to export it to a file for safekeeping.
The straightforward software program runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory, so it doesn't interfere with the runtime of other currently running processes. It has a good response time and worked smoothly during our evaluation, without hanging, crashing or displaying error dialogs.
