EF Process Manager

Even though Windows Task Manager is a lot more capable than most of us tend to give it credit for, better (or more suitable) solutions do exist.

EF Process Manager is one such solution and, despite its age and looks, can still offer you a great deal of control over the processes (and all loaded modules) your OS is running.

At first glance, the app seems a bit old school in terms of looks. Despite this, the interface is actually very well-organized and does a good job of providing you with access to all the important features.

Via its simple two-pane layout, EF Process Manager displays information about all the running processes, as well as modules, priority, size, type, version, company, description, caption, and location.

The app displays info about which modules process have either opened or loaded, as well as which modules are registered or unregistered to the registry database.

You can also see Windows error codes, consult various environment variables, search for certain modules on the disk, export the information to other external sources for future reference, as well as close or kill (force close) any running process.

Taking everything into account, even though it doesn't look the part, EF Process Manager has a lot going for it. Day-to-day users won't need it since Task Manager is more than apt when it comes to killing off a few processes here and there.

However, advanced users who require a bit more control over processes and all their modules will most likely find EF Process Manager quite useful.
