Monitor your system's resources usage when it comes to CPU, RAM, disk and network with the help of this portable piece of software. #Resource monitor #Resource progress monitor #Resource usage monitor #Resource #Progress bar #Progress
Resource Progress Bar is a tiny and portable application capable of monitoring your system's resources to show the current CPU, RAM, network and disk usage. Keeping an eye on these levels comes in handy when using high-demanding applications and video games.
Before proceeding any further, you should know that this tool acts as a system viewer only since it doesn't have options implemented for limiting the resources consumption. If you're interested in this, you can tinker with the Windows Task Manager settings or look into other software, like Core Temp.
Installation isn't necessary so you can run the tool as soon as you download it, as well as keep it stored on a USB flash drive to be able to quickly launch it on any PC to monitor resources usage.
It creates an icon in the systray at startup and silently monitors your computer, without interrupting you with notifications. Double-clicking this tray icon brings up the main window with four tiny progress bar representing the CPU, memory, network and disk activity.
Settings can be configured from the right-click menu of the main window or systray icon. It's possible to make the panel stay on top of other applications, change its opacity level to make it more or less transparent, set the maximum rate, disable the monitor for any of the four activities, as well as enable an intermittent LED light for the network and disk usage.
These preferences can be remembered by the app with the click of a button. Moreover, you can set it to automatically run every time you turn on your computer. Too bad that there's no setting available for increasing the size of the progress bars because they're very small.
Taking everything into account, Resource Progress Bar delivers a simple and straightforward solution for keeping track of your computer's resources usage when it comes to CPU, memory, disk and network.
