SysPrep Driver Scanner is a small-sized and portable utility developed to locate all drivers in a given drive or directory, providing users with a list of full paths to easily access at a later time.
As there is no installation required, the executable file can be saved to any location on the hard disk in order to run it, as well as copied to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit to use in on any PC without installing anything beforehand.
The app does not modify Windows registry settings, nor create additional files on the disk without your consent, leaving it clean after removal.
SysPrep Driver Scanner does not put emphasis on visual appeal. Instead, it opts for a classical look that enables users to quickly get familiarized with its options. To get started, it is necessary to specify the search path and extension (if the default parameters are unsatisfactory).
SysPrep Driver Scanner may take a while to complete a scanning procedure, depending on the size of the given location. It lists the full paths and total containing drivers for each viable directory, and also allows users to append custom paths to the list. Selected or all entries can be copied to the Clipboard or exported to file in CSV or Tab format. The entire registry or just specific locations (Software or System) can be exported to a user-defined directory.
The tool leaves a small footprint on computer performance, since it requires low CPU and RAM. There were no kind of issues throughout our evaluation, as it did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. Although it lacks advanced settings and visual appeal, SysPrep Driver Scanner gets the job done in a straightforward manner.
