Performance monitors evolved during the years, incorporating features that allow them to overlook a wider area.System Performance Monitor is not one of those, in fact, this particular tool is one of the basic models, offering real-time information about CPU, memory, and network connection.

Everybody loves a straightforward interface. System Performance Monitor is a somewhat old application, but a solid UI will always pass the test of time. The integration with the new Windows 11 is flawless, almost like it was built with it in mind.

Modern performance monitors might have a few bells and whistles to them, not in this case, though. Four charts are everything you got, and keeping an eye on them while executing straining tasks might give you some idea about how powerful your PC is.

When functioning in normal parameters, the charts should not go wild. A constant line with small oscillations might determine a healthy use of resources. But whenever you run something more powerful, you should notice serious spikes in whatever section you're testing out. The CPU and Memory charts are the first two listed, followed by Disk and Network connection. These two at the end have a selection wheel to them. That would come in handy if you wish to monitor a certain disk or switch to another internet source.

To sum things up, System Performance Monitor is nothing but rudimentary software for limited resource monitoring. Besides the CPU, memory, disk, and network connection charts, there's nothing much to this app. Indeed, it might look nice, but if you are concerned about resource consumption you should look for more powerful alternatives.
