Absolute Accessories description
A powerful and fully integrated set of tools for your operating system.
Absolute Accessories is a strong and complete suite of applications for your operating system.
Many of the tools benefit "power users" while all the tools are easy to use at any level.
This application itself runs from the system tray (bottom-right of your Start Menu taskbar).
Clicking on the Absolute Accessories icon will display a list of all the tools available.
Also, since several of the tools deal with file manipulation and printing, we have integrated an Absolute Accessories menu into both Windows Explorer and the Find Files explorer.
Here are some key features of "Absolute Accessories":
·
Alias Manager
· This is one of our most powerful utilities and can be used by both beginner and expert. Ever want to define system wide macros? With this utility you can specify "Aliases" and associate them with alternate text. They will be applied to any application you are running. For example, you may wish to define a macro that will replace your initials with your entire name, address, phone number, email address, etc. This utility makes it easy, and you can use the same macros for all your applications
·
Find Text
in Files
· Locates text in any files on your computer and displays the results with surrounding text and line numbers. This option is integrated directly into your Windows Explorer.
·
Batch Copy /Rename /Delete Files
· Three separate commands that provide an easy to use dialog interface to copy, rename or delete files using wildcards, etc. Also provides a preview option to verify and print results before applying the action. These commands arose from the inability of Explorer to do these tasks, which actually could be done quite easily with the old File Manager in Windows 3.x. These commands are integrated directly into your Windows Explorer.
·
Print File List
· This command is integrated directly into your Windows Explorer and your Find Files explorer to allow you to print the current file listing or queried files with several options.
·
Launch MS-DOS
· This command is integrated directly into your Windows Explorer and allows you to launch an MS-DOS session directly from the folder you are currently browsing rather than the Windows default directory.
·
Print Any List
· This command allows you to select any List Control in any running application to print out. We have found that users most often want output from the information found in List Controls, and not enough programs actually allow a print option.
·
Capture Image
· This utility lets you capture the current screen, area of the screen, or window (or sub-windows such as toolbars, split panes, etc.) and save it to either a bitmap file or copy to the clipboard.
·
Password Manager
· As the WEB continues to grow, many sites are requiring you to log-in to their site with a user name and password. These can become cumbersome to manage unless you keep them all stored in a single place. While it was designed for computer related passwords, this utility is also handy for storing bank card numbers and PINs, etc, and it can be password protected.
·
Stop Watch
· If you ever do timings (for software, etc.) you probably know how annoying it is to look at that Windows clock and start and stop your timings. This full-featured stopwatch will keep you accurate to the hundredth of a second, and you can keep it on top of all your other windows.
Limitations:
· 25 days trial.
