CornerBin

While some prefer having the Recycle Bin one-click away on their desktop, others would rather hide it to avoid desktop cluttering. CornerBin is designed to cater to both categories of users, providing an intelligent alternative that hides the Recycle Bin icon in the system tray.

The CornerBin icon is available at the users' disposal in the tray area, allowing them to access the Recycle Bin via the right-click menu. Moreover, it provides convenient access to the most used option when it comes to handling the deleted files: emptying the Recycle Bin.

There are a few settings that enable users to customize the behavior of CornerBin. First of all, they can configure it to launch the Recycle Bin when the tray icon is double-clicked. This options makes the tray icon resemble a standard desktop shortcut even more. Secondly, CornerBin can ask users for confirmation when emptying the Recycle Bin to be sure that no data is lost by mistake. Last but not least, CornerBin can be set to launch with Windows, thus replacing the Recycle Bin shortcut permanently.

Users can customize the standard icons for the Recycle Bin, both for when the bin is empty and full.

CornerBin is practically a system tray version of the Recycle Bin, having the advantage of being able to replace the latter for good. The purpose is to transform the Recycle Bin into an unobtrusive icon in the tray area.
