When your computer has Windows installed on it, errors are bound to happen when it comes to certain applications.
Instead of getting frustrated, you can use FixAuto to fix the glitches.
This small software is free, very small, and very efficient.
When you first initiate the user interface, don't be quick to exit it just because you don't understand the language. Instead, click the third tab on the row to the left, and then select English. Much better, isn't it?
In the "Fix System" you can block functions like Autorun (INF or INI), Autoplay on all drivers, fake Autorun files (NTFS drivers only, FAT32 and NTFS, or USB), or disable USB functions (writing or detecting), as well as the User Account Control in Windows Vista.
In the "Show Folders" tab you can fix Folder Options and select to show hidden files and folders, set the files and folders attribute to normal (sub-folders are optional), or block Folder Options.
The third tab allows you to repair functions, such as Task Manager, Regedit, msconfig, Internet Explorer, errors when starting Windows in safe mode, Start Menu errors, Debugger, system time and others, or replace the Explorer or Userinit executable files.
In the last tab you can repair various extensions, including BAT, CMD, EXE, and REG.
The "App Window" allows you to load some of the utility applications found in Windows l(e.g. Command Prompt, User Account Management).
You should also be able to disable programs that load at startup, but there are some doubts here. First of all, "Enable All" and "Disable All" actually select and deselect the applications (this part was not properly translated), but if you select all of them and click Ok, FixAuto will only disable a part of them.
Besides toggling English and Vietnamese in the Options tab, you can also delete the blocked virus database, or load the blocked virus files at FixAuto startup.
Any task you select in FixAuto will be instantly done, and that's saying something. And CPU is barely used.
All in all, FixAuto is a great program that just needs be slightly better organized. And it's free, too! Anyone should have this kind of tool on their computer.
