Flrig is a transceiver controller manager that works as standalone or along with Fldigi and that enables you to manage CAT devices more efficiently.

The highlight of the application stems from the fact that it treats the back end control code for each connected transceivers in a unique way and hence, you do not need to acquire additional libraries or definition files. As far as the support goes, the utility works with several models from Elecraft, Icom, Kenwood, Ten-Tec and Yaesu.

You can get started by selecting the transceiver you are trying to set up from the list and then opening the configuration menu. It is worth mentioning that the app displays the default values already configured for the models that have been verified, but that may require additional tweaking, depending on the device used.

To put it simply, you may need to specify the preferred DTR and RTS signal lines along with their corresponding ports, include the auxiliary port in case you use one and whether the PPT is going to be shared with the CAT serial port, just to name a few.
