Command-line application that rapidly cleans Temporary Internet Files Cache and/or the TEMP files folder, and requires minimal user intervention
The advantage of command-line applications is that they usually offer more flexibility to the user when it comes to performing various actions. They do not require installation, so the apps can be run from any location on the hard disk.
Furthermore, you can move ICSWEEP to a USB flash disk, memory card or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any workstation with minimum effort, as long as you have administrative rights.
The application automatically cleans the temporary Internet files at initialization. However, you can set it to delete both temporary Internet files and TEMP items, or TEMP files only. In addition, you can get a report on the size of the aforementioned locations.
As expected, the program is very light on the system resources, running on very low CPU and RAM. It finishes a task quickly and without errors. We have not come across any issues in our tests, since ICSWEEP did not hang or crash. All in all, the command-line utility serves its purpose. Unfortunately, it has not been updated for a long time, so ICSWEEP is not compatible with newer operating systems.
