MysticThumbs is an application dedicated to those who like to have their thumbnails as accurate and good-looking as possible. This program sports a wide range of helpful tools and a preview pane that allows all of the users to view their work before actually approving it for actual use. All functions are clearly labeled, although one might feel slightly overwhelmed by the number of options and tools existing in the various menus and lists.

One small negative aspect in regard to the positive idea of having lots of options is that the interface tends to become crowded. Now, this is not to say that the various options are not accurately labeled. You'll have to take a deep breath, and see which of the options would prove more helpful in your case.

For example, you could need to adjust the maximum file and pixel size, but the gamma correction option will be of no use to you in your particular case. You can simply deal with what options you need or want to change. In terms of other options, there are plenty, dealing with transparency levels, adornment, resizing and association.

The user can activate or deactivate a couple of options at any time. Thumbnail generation, checkerboard and scale overlays, even notifications can be adjusted to be working or completely turned off. This is the user's call. The program will sit quietly in the system tray unless otherwise specified. The rest is up to the user. Tailoring the app and its results to one's needs is quite simple.

The labeling is extremely accurate on all of the given options and the attached thumbnails also do this app justice. You won't have to waste time finding the right setting. This program also allows its users to clear thumbnail cache and restart the explorer if by chance some component becomes messed up.
