Softpedia Editor's Review for Pristy Tools 2010
|
Several programs that will optimize your PC experience and will reveal information about your computer
Written by Bogdan Popa on November 17th, 2011
It’s pretty obvious that we all need and love to have a perfectly fit computer but accidents to happen every once in a while, so it’s no wonder that Windows is slowing down and we have to search the web for fixes.
Pristy Tools is one of the tools that could lend us a help in this problem, but contrary to what some people may expect, it’s not an optimization tool per se, but one that comes with a different approach.
It is indeed designed to help us solve some issues, but it’s more like an assistant that will be there for his master every time he needs some help.
With a pretty simple and colorful interface, Pristy Tools relies on a total of seven features, each nicely organized in the main window of the app. So here you have the Web Assistant, the System Powerless and the PC Detector, three of the main features that could come in handy for a handful of users.
The first one is nothing more than a browser launcher because it lets you search the web with multiple engines or load a given page in a browser directly. The so-called System Powerless is actually a simple interface for an utility that lets you schedule tasks such as rebooting or shutting down.
What we’ve found really useful during our test was the File Wipe-out feature that helps you delete a file so that no recovery program out there will be able to recover it.
The best thing about Pristy Tools is the fact that it comes with quite a decent price, and although there are still some freeware alternatives on the market, it deserves a chance, at least for the way it flirts with computer resources.
