REGDIFF is a command-line application capable of comparing two registry files, merging them, and exporting the registry. It is mainly catered toward experienced computer users, due to the sensitive nature of its scope.
Although most people prefer working with graphical interfaces for performing tasks, command-line programs are known to carry out a job faster using low system resources.
A few written lines are suffice, and users do not have to complicate themselves with unnecessary graphical elements in the GUI.
REGDIFF does not require installation, so you can run it from any location on the hard drive, as well as save it to any machine to call it from a Command Prompt dialog with minimum effort.
You can compare a saved registry to the current one, create a file with existing differences, join registries into a single file, select the file format (e.g. Unicode, ANSI), ask REGDIFF to ignore the case, as well as perform a self-test or use verbose.
As expected, REGDIFF uses low CPU and RAM. It takes a reasonable amount of time to finish a task and doesn't cause the operating system to hang, crash or show error notifications. REGDIFF serves its purpose.
