TaskMonifier will help you monitor your CPU, disk usage, network or and executes an action when it falls below a certain threshold. It's a monitor and also a notifier rolled into one!
TaskMonifier can notify you by sound (system beep or .wav file), email or text message (requires a third-party account) or it can hibernate and shutdown your PC.
For example:
-when your backup finishes the disk usage will drop and TaskMonifier can shutdown the computer;
-when the long-running computation finishes, TaskMonifier can send you a text message;
-when the download is finally completed, TaskMonifier can beep.
Here are some key features of "TaskMonifier":
· Play a sound (system beep or .wav file)
· Execute an application
· Hibernate or shutdown the PC
· Send an email
· Send a SMS message to your mobile phone (requires an account with Connection Software)
Requirements:
· .NET Framework 2.0
Limitations:
· Taskmonifier is best for monitoring tasks that consume significant resources: A small trickle download is hard to monitor, as is a small unintensive application. In particular, the disk and network usage is measured as a percentage of the highest previous value — therefore, these measures can take sometime to settle down. Also when monitoring tasks with flucuating usage values, it's wise to set the delay to something high enough that a lull in activity doesn't set-off the trigger before the task is fully complete.
