Battery Life is a small Windows application designed with a single goal in mind: to help you monitor your laptop battery, so as to know when it’s time to plug in and charge your battery.
There’s not much to brag about the user interface, as it sports a clean and plain layout. Everything is kept as simple and clear as possible, so even rookies can master the entire process in no time.
Battery Life displays the remaining time until the battery of your laptop is charged or discharged. You can view the remaining percentage and time revealed in the primary panel. You can also view the remaining time when you hover the mouse cursor over the program’s icon from the system tray.
Additionally, the utility lets you check out the current and average CPU percentage values in real-time, and provides extensive information about your battery, such as full charge capacity, device ID, design capacity, voltage, as well as time.
The lack of configurable settings makes it an ideal tool especially for less experienced users. However, it would have been useful to see support for custom sound notifications and popups messages that could let you know if the battery level gets below a user-defined value. The utility is not able to prioritize the running processes, so they don’t eat up too much power.
All in all, Battery Life offers a simple software solution when it comes to helping you monitor the battery usage of your laptop, and is suitable especially for rookies.
