Wise Drivers 2.0
Rapid setup and user-friendly GUI
The installation procedure takes little time to finish. Its interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to start a scan job. The app looks for drivers concerning the sound card, webcam, network adapter, USB, router, printer, wireless, chipset, monitor, and so on.
Examine scan analysis results easily
Scan Renaults show the current and latest found version of each driver in each category. Apart from exploring the list with drivers and comparing it to the one in Device Manager to make sure the current versions displayed are accurate, you can select any entries or everything for downloading and installation.
Configure program preferences
As far as app settings are concerned, it is possible to include hidden devices in the scan, set the app to automatically download all new drivers on scan completion, power off the PC as soon as all downloads are done, and so on. Settings may saved as well as restored to their default values.
Evaluation and conclusion
We have not come across any stability issues in our tests, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It had minimal impact on system performance.
Given the severe limitations of the demo version, Wise Drivers cannot be fully tested to evaluate its capabilities. On top of that, it is a pretty intrusive app that shows tray notifications round-the-clock, so users might incline toward the thought that it's not very reliable.
The complete package is quite expensive. Other tools may be consulted for keeping PC drives up-to-date, such as Drive Booster and DriverPack Solution.
