IntraLaunch is an ActiveX control for Internet Explorer & Netscape. It's primarily designed for corporate Intranets with Windows based workstations that need to use a web browser to present menus to their employees or end users.

It allows web page links to execute anything from applications to associations such as Word or Acrobat PDF documents both locally and across a network without prompts or security warnings.

IntraLaunch can also open several wizards, map network drives, detect installed applications, create shortcuts, shutdown, logoff & lock the workstation, run as another user, build CD-Rom menus and more with error control, passwords, application refocusing, file management capabilities, logging, sound events, easily deployed, Flash compatible - all from a web page.

Here are some key features of "IntraLaunch":

· All Open/Save prompts and security warnings are avoided and removed. If IntraLaunch is initially being installed or used from a local hard drive or CD-Rom, even the ActiveX installation certificate prompt is not seen, providing seamless integration and unimpeded operation.
· Can open and execute all standard programs such as EXE's, COM's, BAT's, LNK's, PIF's, etc.
· Can directly open file associations such as .DOC's or .PDF's.
· Dynamically detect installed applications and obtain the full executable path. Great for running programs that do not appear in the system path or do not have a known location.
· Can open internal Windows applets such as the Printers Folder or Control Panel. Specific control panel items such as Network Properties, Screen Saver properties, etc. can be opened. Other items such as Workstation shutdown, reboot or lock, Disk Copying applet, open and close the CD-Rom tray, close running applications, create shortcuts, Find Files dialog, Open With dialog, Start Menu, and Wizards such as Add New Printer can also be carried out.
· Share and drive mapping support. IntraLaunch can map or disconnect network shares.
· Empty the recycling bin.
· Minimize all running programs.
· Force the executed program to always remain on top and visible even when inactive.
· Give the executed program a see-through or translucent look.
· Build a file manager using Javascript and basic DHTML or populate selects or form objects with file listings.
· Run the program under a different user.
· Verify the local or global/domain group of the current user.
· Dynamically replace variables with critical system paths during execution.
· Text links can execute applications.
· Sound events.
· Complete logging of all operations and executions.
· Password protection.
· Execute a second application after the first one closes.
· Check if the workstation is online.
· Get the value of any registry key or check its existence.
· Animated GIF's through Javascript are support.
· Form objects such as drop down boxes, checkboxes, push buttons can all open programs using Javascript.
· Error control - when an application is not found or there is no associated program for the file, IntraLaunch can display a custom error message or jump to a self-defined error.html type web page.
· Directly open programs over HTTP.
· All standard execution options still maintained, such as run minimized, maximized, hidden, default directories, program switches/parameters, etc.
· If an application is already running IntraLaunch can recall it into focus instead of running another instance. If minimized, IntraLaunch can also restore the application after refocusing it.
· Relative CD-Rom support - IntraLaunch can execute programs from a CD-Rom, regardless of the CD-Rom's drive letter, thus providing guaranteed operation on all desktop configurations
· Fully compatible with Netscape using an ActiveX Plugin.
· Via scripting, IntraLaunch is completely compatible with Macromedia Flash.
· As an ActiveX control, IntraLaunch is easily deployed across large amounts of workstations. When being installed from a DOS path or CD-Rom, the control's certificate is not seen, offering 100% seamless integration and prompt-free operation.
· ActiveDesktop compatible.
· Single file requirement - all required files needed are held within IntraLaunch.CAB. This feature also makes development easy.


What's New in This Release:

· Added function to return a list of files for a specific path. This can be used to create a simple file manager with Javascript.
· Added functions to check for total and free space of a given drive.
· Added function to delete a file.
· Added function to get the full path to the program for a given associated file type.
