Whether you have just bought a new computer or you just want to test the RAM installed on your computer, it is mandatory to know if there is something wrong with this piece of hardware. MemTest can help you in this regard, as this apparently tiny application can assist you in analyzing your RAM.
MemTest comes as a very lightweight package (only 13 Kb!) and runs on every Windows machine out there, which is indeed a great thing since all users needs to test computer memory.
The interface is just basic and very, very simple, not to mention that it makes the whole application extremely easy to use since it all comes down to pressing one button.
Hitting the Start Testing button will begin the actual RAM test but it also displays a warning that states that the longer you let the test run, the more accurate its results.
For example, it can take up to several hours and although the computer works quite smooth during this period, it is important to know that you must keep the application open in order for the test to complete successfully.
You can still stop the test whenever you want and there is nothing wrong if you wish to do it before it reaches 100 percent, but it is always recommended to let it end just to be sure if your RAM is okay or not.
All in all, MemTest is probably one of the greatest apps in this software category and although it is incredibly light, it provides an extraordinary feature.
