SpeedNet - Internet accelerator featuring four unique technologies

SpeedNet features the SpeedUp tool, which optimizes your Windows registry settings; SpeedResolve, which stores IP-hostname translations on your computer saving you time when browsing; SpeedCache, which places pages linked from the page you are currently viewing into your browser's cache for instant access; and SpeedRetrieve, which splits a file into parts and downloads each part simultaneously.

SpeedNet's Express SpeedUp feature is the most effective way to increase your connection speed from Microsoft Windows. Windows comes installed with default settings for the way in which your computer will access the Internet. What the Express SpeedUp wizard does is optimize this based on your version of Windows and your connection type. For example, one setting determines the size of information your computer can download at any given time. SpeedNet optimizes these settings for your computer.

When customizing your settings, you can select your version of Windows and your connection type, either Cable, ISDN, Dial Up, xDSL, T1/T3, or Wireless. Alternatively, if your Internet Service Provider is listed, you can select that as your connection type. Before SpeedNet optimizes your settings, it automatically saves your existing settings so you can always restore them.
