Error Fixer is a tool designed to help you detect and repair various issues found in your Windows registry items.
The interface of the program is very plain. You can get started by performing a scanning job on your registry.
You can also select the sections you want to scan, between application paths, help files, files extensions, font files, shared folders and DLLs, Browser Helper Objects, startup programs, and others.
During the scanning process, you can view the current target, as well as the total number of scanned and invalid keys. Canceling is possible.
After this step you can view a list of the status and description of each key entry. You can view problems according to their section and set Error Fixer to repair the current section or error, or everything.
In addition, you can disable applications which automatically run at system startup, restore items (since Error Fixer automatically creates backups before deleting anything), schedule a task, select drives to scan, set Error Fixer to automatically check for updates, and more.
The program uses a low-to-moderate quantity of system resources, can guide you to an online FAQ page and takes a very long time to scan your Windows registry keys. No errors have popped up during our tests.
Unfortunately, the demo version doesn't let you fix any registry errors. So, we cannot properly evaluate Error Fixer. Plus, the interface could definitely use some major improvements.
