Glarysoft Registry Repair helps you fix problems found in your Windows registry files, so your operating system can run smoother.

The program has a user-friendly interface with three tabs - Registry Clean, Advanced Tools, Restore. Each one has its own features, but there is also a menu where you can check for updates and access settings.

Scanning can be done in three modes - quick scan, deep scan and customized scan.

A quick scan takes little time to finish, and it is performed on obsolete software, custom controls, file extensions and associations, startup and shared programs, software locations, add or remove programs, MRU and history lists, ARP cache, MUI cache, help and resources.

You can view the number of found errors, and fix issues in the categories of your preference. The program manages to repair most problems, except for the entries that are system-locked (which is normal, since deleting these files will probably cause your Windows to act weird).

Ignore List contains registry entries that are automatically added here by the software (e.g. system-locked), so that they are overlooked in future scans, but you can also add or delete specific ones.

Furthermore, you can use Advanced Tools to clean shortcuts (it takes several minutes to scan for them), defrag the registry, and obtain system information (operating system, processor, memory, motherboard, BIOS version).

The Restore feature lets you revert to a previous state before your registry entries were cleaned by the program, just in case something went wrong with Windows (by default, Glarysoft Registry Repair creates a restore point before repair, but you can disable this option).

Glarysoft Registry Repair uses a small amount of system memory. It does not give you a list of the specific registry entries that should be cleaned, nor a list of the invalid shortcuts. Moreover, scan scheduling, deep scan and customized scan are not available in the trial version. Nevertheless, the software does a great job overall.
