360Amigo System Speedup
360Amigo System Speedup is a simple-to-use application that can increase the performance level of your computer by providing you with various features, such as cleaners for registry errors and junk files.
The tool comes with a user-friendly interface where you can run a scanner for the Recycle Bin, Windows log files, invalid shortcuts links, temporary and Windows junk files, memory dumps, old Prefetch files and application logs, among others (they can even be custom).
Once the scanning procedure is done, you can select which items you want to get rid off (after inspecting the name, location, size and date of modification for each entry), and let 360Amigo System Speedup take care of the rest. Plus, you can create a system restore point before file deletion to prevent any system errors which may occur afterward.
360Amigo System Speedup can look into registry items (e.g. font entries, ActiveX and COM, file extension, application IDs, shared DLLs, firewall, help and startup entries, interface libraries), as well as delete unnecessary data involving Windows apps (e.g. Microsoft Office and Explorer history, recent documents, clipboard) along with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome (e.g. temporary files, autocomplete form history, cookie files).
Furthermore, you can perform a defrag operation on your local drives, manage apps which automatically run at system startup, terminate processes and programs which are currently connected to the Internet, stop or uninstall running services, as well as remove installed applications from your computer.
Additional tools include a duplicate file finder, zero-sized file and empty folder scanner, disk analyzer, registry backup and restore function, file shredder, disk wiper, registry defragmenter and file encrypter.
360Amigo System Speedup supports multiple languages for the interface, includes user documentation and requires a moderate amount of system resources. The program can be configured in the "Settings" area (e.g. automatically run at system startup, create an exclusion list) and can be easily handled by novices and experienced users.
Note: 360Amigo has been bought by Avira, and 360Amigo System Speedup has been transformed into Avira System Speedup.
