FreshUI is an application that lets you configure the Windows behavior, according to your own preferences.

The interface of the program is standard and easy to navigate through. There are many tabs which contain several options you can play with.

The main areas are "Applications", "Hardware", "Windows Explorer", "Windows Interface", "Windows System" and "Covering Your Track".

So, you can disable the connection wizard, disallow changing homepage and history settings, disallow changing colors, link colors and fonts settings, as well as hide the "General", Security", "Content", "Connections", "Programs", "Privacy" and "Advanced" tab in Internet Explorer.

In addition, you can disable audio and full duplex audio, configure Notepad options (e.g. set strike-out, underline or italic font by default), clear the last active key of Registry Editor, disable or repair Registry Editor, and disallow users to add or delete tasks.

Furthermore, you can disable Windows automatic updates, CD-ROM autoplay and the integrated CD burning feature (only in XP), set the Wordpad unit system and CPU priority, show detailed information in Device Manager, and more.

FreshUI uses a very low amount of system resources, comes with a help file (which could have showed detailed information about each option), and it can be password-protected and used by both beginners and experts.

All in all, the software does exactly what it promises but it doesn't necessarily provide you with options which cannot be found in other similar products. Nevertheless, we suggest you try it.
