ARP++ represents an advanced version of the default Add/Remove Programs tool of Windows. It is designed to help users remove stubborn applications as well as to identify and uninstall those which are not visible in the aforementioned OS tool.
Simple installer and plain GUI
The setup procedure is fast and does not require any configuration. ARP++ does not show any dialogs or create icons, so you have to look for its executable file in Program Files to launch.
Its interface is made of a single window with a plain and simple layout, which immediately populates a list with all identified programs installed when launched. It does not put any emphasis on looks, though.
Easily uninstall programs and Windows updates
All you have to do is pick an entry from the list and uninstall the corresponding program with one click. In addition, you can view Windows updates to remove them as well, and refresh the list in case any changes were made in the meantime. There are no other noteworthy options available here.
Evaluation and conclusion
We have not come across any stability issues in our tests, since ARP++ did not hang, crash or pop up errors. Indeed, it identified some programs missed by the default Windows tool but it missed several ones too.
We must also take into account that it has not been updated for a while and it may have compatibility issues with later operating systems. Users may resort to more reliable free apps for removing programs from their computers, such as IObit Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller.
