Cpu Meter Gadget
Developed for the Google Desktop platform, CPUMeter is a lightweight application that can show you how much CPU your computer is currently using, directly on your desktop. It can be easily installed and configured, even by inexperienced users.
This type of tool is recommended for users who usually put a strain on the computer's resources, such as hardcore video gamers or web designers who work with high-maintenance graphic editing tools.
The interface of the gadget is based on a small frame which resembles a gauge, where you can view the current CPU level of your system.
Unfortunately, CPUMeter does not come with any configurable settings. But, thanks to the default options provided by Google Desktop, you can remove the frame from the sidebar, in order to move it to any position of the screen.
On top of that, you can zoom in and out, make the frame stay on top of other windows, as well as hide or collapse it. The small tool puts little strain on the computer's resources, as it runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It did not cause the operating system to freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. However, it does not come with its own configurable settings. No recent updates have been made.
