Intel WiDi Widget
There are many users who like to have their friends over to watch movies, documentaries or presentations, and this can be quite cumbersome when they all need to crowd before a small computer monitor. Intel WiDi Widget can come in handy to all those who own Intel WiDi-enabled PCs as it enables them to easily project contents to their HDTV set (High-definition television), while they continue using the computer for other programs.

It needs to be emphasized that the app only functions on computers running Windows 7 Home Premium, either 32- or 64-bit, that also support Intel WiDi. Additionally, a compatible TV adapter for WiDi is required, such as Netgear Push2TV HD (PTV2000), Belkin Screencast, D-Link MainStage, IO Data WDA-X1 or Buffalo PC-TV1/HD.

Due to Intel WiDi Widget, one can easily send a chosen program to HDTV, while the actual laptop or computer can be used for other purposes. For instance, some people watch a movie on the television set, while somebody else can check their email or play a game on their PC.

The whole process is quite simple: one needs to launch the video playing application that should be sent to the TV, then Intel WiDi Widget has to be started (Intel WiDi is also supposed to be running as well). Next, one needs to wait until the ‘Ready’ message is displayed and the indication ring becomes blue (which means that the suitable auto-connect adapter has been detected and that a connection can be made).

At this point, users simply need to initiate a WiDi connection and enjoy their movie on the large screen of their HD television set.

All in all, Intel WiDi Widget can come in handy to all those who want to be able to use their computers even when there is an app projected on the TV, provided the compatible software and hardware are found.
