Developed for the Google Desktop platform, Stock Market Tracker is a gadget that allows you to verify the current status of your stocks. It can be easily installed and configured, even by inexperienced users.
The interface of the app is based on a small frame. By opening the right-click menu, you can access the 'Options' area, in order to add a new stock or delete an existing one.
Once a new item has been inserted into the list, you must click the 'Get Quote' button to refresh the page and check out the latest stock values, along with the difference between the current value and the previous one, and the time when the current value was registered.
Unfortunately, Stock Market Tracker does not come with any configurable settings. But, thanks to the default options provided by Google Desktop, you can undock the gadget from the sidebar, in order to move it to any spot on the screen. Plus, you can make Stock Market Tracker stay on top of other windows, zoom in and out, as well as hide or collapse its frame,
The lightweight tool does not put a strain on the computer's resources, as it uses a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It is very responsive to commands and didn't cause the operating system to freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs during our evaluation. On the downside, Stock Market Tracker has not been updated for a long time.
