Sometimes, when you have a short break to do anything, you can choose to play a game that challenges your intelligence and vocabulary. Hangman is the Windows widget version of the classic game.
The tool comes with a nice interface that’s similar to the games normally drawn on the side of an exercise book.
Every wrong letter adds a body part to the stickman, while every right letter fills in the respective spot on the dotted line. Also, each used letter gets crossed out with a red line in the alphabet at the bottom of the app.
The game includes 1,000 words, so it should be played a lot in order to display the same set-up twice. In order to win, you need to be careful and anticipate the possible combinations, since you only get six incorrect guesses before the game is over.
If the game is finished successfully, the words “You Win” appear on the screen, next to the hangman. However, if the game doesn’t go your way, the words “You Lose” are displayed. Additionally, the app also reveals the word that you failed to guess.
The little app has no extra settings, so the only thing you can do is move the frame around the screen to the place that suits you best.
Hangman is a widget that doesn’t need other apps to function; it works with Windows OS only and, after it gets closed, it can be found in the Gadget menu, along with the other widgets.
Inexperienced users should have no problems in installing and playing this game, thanks to its overall simplicity.
