Google Voice Dialer
Google Voice Dialer is a desktop gadget that enables users to create a speed dial list, in order to quickly place calls through the Google Voice service.
It is simple to install and set up, since it comes packed with just a few intuitive options.
The interface is represented by a very small frame that you can move to any position on the screen, with the help of the mouse cursor.
To get started, it is necessary to bring up the Options panel via the right-click menu, and point out the user name, password and phone to ring via your Google Voice account.
From this point on, the speed dial list can be populated with contacts, as all you have to do is enter a name and phone number after increasing the frame size. Deleting entries from this queue is possible with a single click.
Google Voice Dialer does not come with other configuration parameters of its own. However, you can use the built-in settings provided by the operating system, which apply to most Windows gadgets, namely making the frame stay on top of other windows and adjusting its opacity level.
As expected, the widget does not put a strain on the overall performance of the computer, since it runs on a very low amount of CPU and RAM. It is very responsive to key strokes and mouse events.
The program performed well throughout our evaluation, without hanging, crashing or popping up error dialogs. When it comes down to it, Google Voice Dialer offers a simple solution to all users who want to seamlessly get ahold of their favorite contacts via Google Voice through a speed dial list.
