TSR Continuously Backup FREE is a simple-to-use software application which enables you to back up important files and folders. It contains standard and intuitive settings that should be easy to figure out, whether you have previous experience with such tools or not.

The program is wrapped in a normal window with a minimalistic structure that shows three tabs for facilitating backups, configuring log details, and viewing log details, respectively.

It is possible to point out directories to include in the backup job via the file browser, along with the ones to exclude. TSR Continuously Backup FREE also provides a button that automatically adds the Windows default user folders, such as Desktop, Favorites, AppData, Music and Pictures. Once you indicate the saving location, you can start the backup task immediately with one click.

The application can be run in low priority so it does not hamper system performance, minimize to the tray area so it does not become intrusive, automatically launch at Windows startup and start a backup job, as well as exit or turn off the computer on task completion. What's more, you can view log details when it comes to scanned, copied and skipped files along with errors.

We have not come across any stability difficulties in our tests, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. It finishes backup jobs in reasonable time while remaining light on system resources. However, the name of the program suggests that TSR Continuously Backup FREE offers support for incremental backups (i.e. monitors the original backup and automatically updates it with new or changed files only to speed up the entire task) when, in fact, this feature is only available in the Pro edition.

Taking everything into account, TSR Continuously Backup FREE may not come loaded with additional advanced features present in other free backup applications, but it is straightforward and very simple to use, ideal for beginners who want to get familiarized with this type of security software.
