Break reminders are software applications specifically created to remind users to take frequent breaks when working at the computer for long periods of time.

These applications encourage users to focus their eyes on something at a further distance or to perform specific eye exercises as advised by the utilities, in order to avoid Computer Vision Syndrome.

Besides eye exercises, these programs also contain tips and tricks that can be used for stretching one's hands and fingers so as to prevent Repetitive Strain Injury.
