Create FPX Files

FPX stands for FlashPix and it is a graphic file format that can store multiple image resolutions within a single file. Since Kodak was one of its developers, this format is particularly optimized for digital photos.

Despite the fact FPX images are very large, users prefer to create FPX images because they can access only a certain area of a picture without needing to process the whole file.

The chosen application will typically allow users to preview the source image, edit it or apply effects, then encode it to the FPX format.
