Exchangeable image file format (better known as EXIF) is a specification that can be found only in the images captured by digital cameras.
EXIF managers will offer users the possibility to visualize additional image metadata, such as camera manufacturer, orientation, resolution or focal length.
These applications support EXIF editing, enabling users to adjust data according to their preferences or to remove it altogether
Users can also insert EXIF information to images that were not captured by digital cameras, so as to be able to apply copyright or to be able to identify them later.
