X11 Pixmap, also referred to as XPM, is a raster file format originally created to store icon pixmaps. Moreover, any XPM file can save pixmaps as static character arrays typically programmed in the C language.

Besides transparent color, this graphic file format also supports monochrome, gray-scale or color pixmap.

When users need to adjust XPM images, they will need to choose a dedicated graphic editor.
