3GP is a multimedia container format which is mainly used for recording videos on 3G mobile phones, but it can also be processed by several 2G and 4G devices.
This format contains both video streams (can be MPEG-4 or H.263) as well as audio ones (AMR-NB, AMR-WB, AMR-WB+, AAC-LC or HE-AAC).
3GP creators will allow users to encode their favorite videos to this format so that they can be played on a 3G mobile phone.
The most common way of creating 3GP videos is to convert files of other formats to 3GP using compatible multimedia tools.
Additionally, users will be able to modify the source video's sample rate and aspect ratio before creating the 3GP video.
