Make PNG Files

PNG stands for Portable Network Graphic and it is a raster graphic format which features a compressed bitmap of indexed colors. PNG format does not require any patent licenses, as opposed to GIF.

Since GIF files have restricted color support, PNG format aims to enhance it. Furthermore, PNG contains a transparency channel that permits colors to fade from opaque to transparent and vice versa, unlike GIF that has only either opaque or transparent pixels.

When they want to create a PNG file, users simply need to convert their images to this format.

Image converters will allow users to customize the brightness, saturation and contrast of the source files, while also enabling them to rotate or resize the images according to their preferences, before exporting them to PNG.

On the other hand, one can also create PNG files by using image grabbers and saving the screenshots to PNG format.
