RM Player Apps and Alternatives

RM (stands for RealMedia) is another type of multimedia container format that is mainly used for streaming audio and video content over the Internet.

Since this format usually comes with constant bitrate streams, another related format has been developed, called RMVB (RealMedia variable bitrate).

Since this format was created by RealNetworks, its RealPlayer was the only app that could process this type of files.

Nonetheless, lately more and more multimedia players come with support for RM and RMVB files.

Typically, these applications will also offer users the possibility to create playlists with their RM files and add tracks of other formats as well.
