When using the appropriate software, a computer can be accessed and controlled from another workstation, in other words, a user is able to operate a remote computer.
In order to establish a remote connection, one simply needs to specify the IP address of the target computer.
However, there are some remote controllers that require a client application to be installed on the target workstation in order for the connection to be efficient.
Once remotely connected, the user can monitor the other computer's activity, launch or install programs, or even turn it off.
