Kido worm was the cause of one of the most brutal malware infections since it affected more than 9 million computers.
Since it was first detected, the worm evolved into new variants which further enhance the initial worm’s functionality.
This worm is often encountered under more than one name: Kido, Conficker or Downadup, and it has spread so fast among computers that were not updated to the latest Windows patches or fixes.
When a computer has become infected, users need to immediately download and install a removal tool that will locate and eradicate the infection.
