A virus is a computer application able to copy itself and infect one or more computers.
Viruses can be easily spread from the infected computer if their host is transferred to the another computer, either through network/internet transfer or through the use of removable devices, such as USB drives, CDs, DVDs etc
Antivirus programs are installed by PC users to detect and, if possible, remove files infected with viruses, trojans, worms or any other type of malware.
A user should be aware of the fact that not all antivirus software will remove the threats it detected during the scan. Some of them require paid registration in order to proceed with the malware removal.
