EPS is an acronym for Encapsulated PostScript and it is a graphic file format which may consist of 2D vector graphics, bitmaps or text. Besides describing a drawing or image, EPS files can also be placed within another PostScript file.
EPS files are largely used for transferring graphic data between various operating systems.
In order to be able to open an EPS file, users will need to choose one of the available compatible graphic applications.
Just like all other viewers, users will not be able to modify the contents of their EPS files using these utilities.
