Windows 8 was officially launched in October 2012, a lot of users were disappointed that Microsoft decided to stick to the initial plan and removed the traditional Start Menu from the operating system.
In order to help people overcome this issue, third-party developers have started creating dedicated apps that would restore the functionality of the well-known Start Menu to computers running Windows 8.
Some of these tools are meant to help users simply locate their folders and programs with greater ease, without needing to first access the Start Screen.
There are also some utilities that bring extra functions, including a wide range of power options or customization features.
