This release of Lightroom Classic CC rolls out new features and enhancements such as customization of Develop Panel, Add to Collection option in auto-import settings, Grid Snap option in book module, other enhancements, support for new cameras and lenses, and bug fixes.
Customize the order of Develop panels
With this release, you can now drag the Develop module panels in the order you would like to see them in.
To customize the Develop panel menu, do the following:
Right-click (Win) / Control-click (Mac) on the header of any panel.
Select Customize Develop Panel from the context menu that opens.
In the Customize Develop Panel dialog box that opens, drag the panel names in the desired order.
Click Save. To restore the default order, click Default Order before Save.
Relaunch Lightroom Classic to see the Develop panels in the new order in the Confirm dialog that opens.
Add photos from a watched folder to a Collection with Auto Import:
In the Auto Import settings, you can now use the Add To Collection option to directly pull photos from a watched folder into a specified Collection.
The Auto Import feature monitors a watched folder for photos and automatically imports them into the Collection you've set as the destination. After you set up a watched folder and specify a destination Collection in the auto-import settings, you can simply drag photos into the watched folder. Lightroom Classic CC automatically imports those photos in the specified Collection, allowing you to bypass the import window.
To add photos from a watched folder to a Collection, do the following:
Go to File > Auto Import > Auto Import Settings.
In the Auto Import Settings dialog box, set up a watched folder and select the Enable Auto Import option.
In the Destination area of the dialog box, select the Add to Collection check box. Lightroom Classic now displays a list of all your Collections.
Select any Collection as your destination for auto-import.
Optionally, you can also click Create Collection to create a new collection and select it as the destination for import.
Click OK.
Align photos in a Book layout with the Grid Snap guides:
You can now easily align photos in a Book layout using the Grid Snap option in the Guides section. In Grid Snap, choose either Cells to align the cells of two photos with respect to each other, or Grid to align photos with the grid guide lines.
On moving the photo, it would snap into place based on the selected setting. By default, the Grid Snap option is set to Cells.
Duplicate preset handling:
With this release of Lightroom Classic CC, if you attempt to create a duplicate preset with the same name under the same group, a Duplicate Preset Name dialog box opens with options to:
Replace - Select this option to keep only the latest preset with the same name in the group
Duplicate - Select this option to keep two presets with the same name listed in the same group
Rename - Select this option to append a numeric extension to the name by default or rename it yourself
Show partially compatible presets:
On opening a photo in the Loupe view in the Develop module, some presets may not appear in the Presets panel due to incompatibility with the selected photo, such as camera profiles that are not applicable to the current photo or presets that only apply to raw files. The non-compatible presets are shown as faded and in Italics style in the Presets panel in Develop.
To see all presets even if they are not compatible with the current photo, do the following:
Open a photo in Loupe view and click Edit.
Select Preferences from the drop-down menu.
Select Presets under the Preferences panel.
In the Visibility section, select/deselect Show Partially Compatible Develop Presets to show/hide partially compatible develop presets.

Photo merge enhancements:
Photo merge: Requirements for merge operations that could have led to merging failures in earlier versions have now been relaxed. Now you can merge images with differing dimensions, focal lengths, and orientation.
Photo merge preview caching: Lightroom Classic now caches the previews generated for Photo Merge operations. This improves performance and provides a better user experience.
Single-step HDR-Pano merge: Now you can perform single-step panorama HDR merge using smart previews.

Performance enhancements:
Improved sync reliability and stability.
Improved performance while doing batch operations such as import, preview generation, DNG conversion, and export.
Improved grid scrolling performance on Hi-DPI displays.
Improved performance when switching between Develop and Library Loupe.
Other enhancements:
Cancel on exit: With this release, you would see a confirmation dialog on exit so that you can choose to cancel exiting from Lightroom Classic CC. If you select Don’t show again checkbox from the confirmation dialog, you need to reset warning dialogs (Preferences > General > Reset All Warning dialogs) to see the confirmation dialog on exit again.
Color Labels for folders: Support has been added for color labels for offline folders. For more helpful information, see Create and manage folders.
Support for Photoshop Elements 2019 catalogs: Support has been added for importing Photoshop Elements 2019 catalogs in Lightroom Classic CC. For more helpful information, see Import photos from Photoshop Elements.

Introducing Guided Upright:
We included Upright as a tool that helped Lightroom customers easily straighten images, fix horizons, and reduce or eliminate the keystone effect in buildings. Upright works well when there are prominent vertical and horizontal lines. Not all images contain prominent lines, limiting the effectiveness of Upright.
Starting with Lightroom CC 2015.6, Guided Upright allows you to provide ‘hints’ that enable Upright to work its magic. You draw the vertical and horizontal lines directly on the image and Upright will automatically transform the image.

Merge to Panorama and HDR now works with Smart Previews. Previously, Lightroom required the use of original images for the Merge to Panorama or HDR features.
The Preferences -> Lightroom mobile section now contains a “Pending Sync Activity” section. This area is useful for helping identify any potential issues related to image sync across the Lightroom family of applications (desktop, mobile and web).

New in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC 2015.4 (Jan 28, 2016)

Lightroom CC 2015.4 and Lightroom 6.4 are now available on Adobe.com. The goal of this release is to provide additional camera raw support, lens profile support and address bugs that were introduced in previous releases of Lightroom. This release also includes a new Boundary Warp feature for Creative Cloud members.
Introducing Boundary Warp:
Stitched panoramas often have non-rectangular boundaries. There are several ways to handle irregular boundaries. The most common approach is to apply a rectangular crop. This is straightforward, but important image details near the boundary may be lost due to cropping. Another approach is to use Content Aware Fill (in Photoshop) to fill in the transparent areas outside the boundary. This can be effective, but may require multiple attempts to obtain a satisfying (smooth, artifact-free) result. It can also be expensive and requires rendering out the panorama to an output-referred(non-raw) format. Boundary Warp is a feature that provides another approach to handling the irregular boundary of panoramas. The feature analyzes the boundary and warps the image so that its edges fit a rectangular frame.

Dehaze as a Local Adjustment:
We added Dehaze as a global adjustment in the Lightroom CC 2015.1 release and are excited to see the widespread interest in the feature. We wanted to extend the functionality, and I’m happy to announce that you can now apply Dehaze as a Local Adjustment. This means that you can use Dehaze with the Radial Filter, Graduated Filter and Local Adjustment Brush.
Please note that this feature is not available in the standalone version of Lightroom 6
Revamped Import:
We redesigned the Import experience to make finding and importing your photos easier and more visual. The redesign was driven by our desire to make the import workflow more explicit and clear. The workflow is 1. Select a source, 2. Select images 3. Choose any import settings (optional) and 4. Import.
The revamped Import experience is based on customer feedback and we’re excited to hear what you think.
Select a Source: There is a new “Add Photos” screen which scans to identify the potential locations for photos on your hard drive. You can also easily select from a folder, a connected camera (via USB cable), a memory card, external hard drive, or Photoshop Elements catalog.
Select images: The Import Dialog has been redesigned. Your source will already be selected (you choose it in step 1) so you can specify which images to import. We recommend importing all.
Choose any import settings (optional): While there isn’t a need to change the default settings, you can open the gear icon (on the top right) to adjust and change import settings.
Hit the import button.
Improvements to “Import from Photoshop Elements” feature:
In addition to Import, we’ve revamped the Import from Photoshop Elements experience. Now you can migrate the images from your Photoshop Elements catalog into Lightroom easily. To do so, click on the Photoshop Elements icon in the “Add Photos” screen (step 1 from above). Select the Elements catalog and click the Import button. Lightroom will handle the rest for you automatically.

Updates to Synced Collections:
Synced collections now show a more prominent share button at the top of the Toolbar. This allows you to quickly share your synced collection with friends, family, and clients using Lightroom web (http://lightroom.adobe.com).
Comments and likes left on Lightroom web now sync to the Lightroom desktop catalog. Comments and Likes will be shown in the “Comment” panel for synced collections.
Images with comments and likes will display a badge indicating that there are comments and a colored badge to indicate that there are unread comments.
Integrated a utility to import images from Apple Aperture and Apple iPhoto libraries into Lightroom:

Fixed image quality issue (noisy result) when applying spot healing to floating-point (HDR) images.
Fixed issue with reading lossless compressed Nikon raw files (NEF files) from the camera models listed below. Previously, some images could be read but would appear as random noise, whereas attempting to open others would result in an error dialog. You will need to purge your Camera Raw cache via the Preferences dialog.

Lightroom 3.5 did not update the correct metadata fields in a file after adjusting the capture time of an image.
Publish Collections created prior to Lightroom 3.4 designed to publish to a Hard Drive could fail to work properly in Lightroom 3.5.
The Targeted Adjustment Tool provided the reverse value intended when used on OS X 10.7.
The incorrect Aspect Ratio was displayed when Crop settings were Copy/Pasted or applied via Previous button (Mac Only).
In rare situations, Lightroom 3.4 and 3.5 would not be able to read certain JPEG files properly.
Files with invalid date metadata could fail to import properly.
Editing a crop that had previously been copied from another file would fail to retain the copied aspect ratio.

Bugs Corrected in this Release:
The following bugs that were released as part of Lightroom 3.0 have been corrected. The team appreciates the very detailed feedback the community has provided on the Lightroom 3.0 release and we’re excited to correct a number of issues experienced by our customers. These issues have been FIXED:
Develop: A custom aspect ratios get rounded to nearest standard ratio when adjusting crop overlay
Develop: A history state is incorrectly added after creating a preset that includes a graduated filter or lens profile correction
Develop: In the crop mode the X key sets a photo to reject instead of rotating the crop (Windows only)
Develop: Lens profile corrections were synced even when they were not selected in the sync dialog.
Develop: The escape key incorrectly applies a crop after a CTRL/CMD right arrow with the crop tool enabled
Develop: The local adjustment brush could have a very slow first stroke when exposure is the selected adjustment
Develop: The Live Loupe view on a second monitor could become unresponsive when switching images in the Develop module
General: Certain menu items were missing from the Windows version of Lightroom
Help Documentation: Inaccuracies and translation errors were corrected throughout the help documentation
Import: Copy as DNG selection not remembered for subsequent imports
Import: For some devices the import dialog did not allow directory browsing

Multi-monitor support: Open a view of the Library in a second window that can be displayed on a second monitor. Keep this window open while you�re working in any module, making it easier to view and select photos to edit or present.
Streamlined Library browsing: A reorganized layout in the Library module makes it easier to manage your photos. A Volume Browser lets you check the status of local and networked volumes at a glance. The new Library Filter bar in the Grid view lets you find photos by metadata criteria; attributes such as ratings, labels, and flag status; or a text search of indexed metadata fields. See View information in the Volume Browser and Find photos using the Library Filter bar.
Simplified keywording: The Keywording panel and new Keyword List panel are both on the right side of the Library module, making it easier to add, apply, and manage keywords. A new keyword set suggests similar keywords for photos whose capture times are in proximity.
