What's new in All Aboard 1.20:

October 28th, 2008

· Appointments now have a graphical interface to select date and time ranges
· using both the mouse and or keyboard.

· System messages are now themed based on the window theme that generated the
· message. These messages now have user scroll bars when the message might be long
· and not fit on the pop up window.

· Import / export now can handle the note. Comma delimitted text can not
· support returns embedded inside the note. On export All Aboard will convert the
· returns to a vertical bar and on import convert vertical bars to returns. This
· permits data to be exported from All Aboard to another copy of All Aboard.
· Encrypted notes are never exported. If you need to export an encrypted note
· unencrypt the note then export and the re encrypt the note. This will allow the
· exported copy to be imported but will of course be unencypted..

· Import / export was improved to allow you to import duplicate copies. Using this
· new feature you can import one version of each contact and assign each set of
· copies to a category. This allows you to use a "Work" category and import the
· work data fields for address email and phone number, then assign these to the
· work category. Then repeat the import again and select the Home address and
· phone numbers then assign those to a Home category with a different color theme.
· This expansion allows you to have many locations of contact data for the same
· person.

· Import / Export has now been tested with Lotus Organizer as well as Microsoft
· Outlook.

Fixes:
· Import would place the contacts in the incorrect drawer in some newer releases.

What's new in All Aboard 1.15:

July 15th, 2008

· New multi threading features. Pinning a data record to the desktop like a sticky note has always been an All Aboard feature. The "pin the note" and "pin the image" features now have a new option called "Sync". After you pin an image or note there is a new check box that allows you to sync the pinned record to the browse window that launched it. This means as you scroll the data list the pinned record becomes the currently selected note record in the list box. Using inter process communication the list tells the pinned record to change to the selected record. This happens very quickly. This feature provides a new method for just browsing through all your data. All drawers are supported and images in any drawer and logs are supported. You may still manually pin as many records as you like plus have one designated for Sync. See the new Multi Threading demonstration video to see how easy it is to use some new high powered technology.
· Better hot key support for more items on more screens. Some hot keys were not properly labeled on the tool tip. Tool tips have been extended with attention to showing the hot keys consistently. Main screen tagging function now have hot keys. Documentation has also been updated for hot key support.
· Main screen appointment display range selections now supports hot keys Ctrl 1, 2, 3, and 4 for year, month, week and day range diplays.
· Just a reminder that entry fields that have a look up icon use the same hot key as the entry field. The first hot key press will move to the field and the second press will activate the look up button. This feature is now consistent in all cases.
· Pinned images now support a smaller minimum re-size option so the Sync function can be used along side smaller screen displays.
· Calendar control now shows the target month / year in the tool tip.
· When selecting documents and images the existing preferences for the startup folder have been expanded. While any accessible foilder can be used for a linked item the first folder that begins the search now uses some new options. For images a new setting was added called "Images too". when you select the default document directory for a drawer or log the option is also available to make the same folder the default for images. A new global default is now in place when nothing is specified. For documents the default will be "My Documents" and for images "My Pictures". The application folder default is now Program Files on the boot drive.
· When phone numbers are displayed on the main screen or in a pinned record the standard hot keys are now Ctrl 1 for Phone, Ctrl 2 for Phone 2, and Ctrl 3 for Cell Phone.
· Copy image to clipboard function does work with some JPG formats. The prior releases did not allow JPG files to be copied to clip board. This release allows you to copy them. The hot key "Alt Shift C" is the universal hot key when that image is displayed with the icon.
· The calendar control for going forward and back one year was in error for Feb 29th. The fixed method goes to Feb 28th when moving from a leap year on Feb 29th forward or back a whole year. When moving backward one month from March 30th the result would be March 2nd instead of the last day in February. Simlarly moving from a month with more days than the target month would yield errors. The fix it to always move to the next or prior month without overshooting or undershooting the month. This usually means defaulting to the last day in the target month for target months of lesser number of days. It was considered less annoying to the user to add this change.
· A theme error in the configuration screen would occure on spin controls was fixed only in the configuration screen. There was not a problem on other screens.

What's new in All Aboard 1.14:

· The internal email client (registered versions only) now supports a log on and password for SMTP servers that require them. Leave the user name blank if your server does not require a log on. Using a log on and password when the server does not require them will cause a communications failure. If you fail to supply a
· log on and password when required this specific problem is detected. When in doubt try it without first. Adding the user name in the configuration settings
· will remember the log on but you must supply the password for the first email in the session. The password is not saved to disk when you close All Aboard.
· The alphabetic locator at the top of the main browse now reverses the foreground and background of the selected tab for easier viewing. Note the letters of the tabs are actually hot keys for each tab All versions). For
· example, pressing the letter B will find the first data record that starts with B or after B if no records exist for the letter B.
· Several cosmetic theme errors were fixed.
· Several entry fields lacked pop up cut and paste menus.
· Several performance enhancements were made when using themes.
