  • Background: Previously 1.44M or 2.88M emulation was used for booting BootIt BM from CD/DVD/BD. Because it has become more difficult to fit everything within that limited space, the makedisk configuration will now allow using, as needed, HD emulation as well.
  • BIOS support for booting CD/DVD/BD's in floppy emulation mode has been fairly good, however, it is yet to be known how well the BIOSes will support HD emulation mode. Inconsistencies have been found on at least one system, but was not something that would affect the installation/update.
  • This change only relates to creating a boot CD/DVD/BD.
